Campaign Overview
1. These terms and conditions are applicable to the Bavaria “Win 1 of 15 Active Prize Vouchers to the value of R 10,000 each: Comrades Competition" promotion organised in South Africa, by Swinkels Family Brewers N.V. (“SFB”), a company with office address at De Stater 1, 5737 RV Lieshout, the Netherlands.
2. These terms and conditions shall apply mutatis mutandis to affiliates of SFB and/or third parties who (help to) facilitate and/or are involved in the Promotion.
3. By participating in the Promotion, participants acknowledge and agree to be bound to these terms and conditions. SFB reserves the right to unilaterally and without prior notification change these conditions at any time and/or to attach further conditions to the participant and/or participating third parties for participation in the Promotion and/or thereafter, without being under any obligation to pay damages or anything whatsoever.
4. SFB reserves the right to disqualify and/or deny (further) participation to any participant who acts in violation of these terms and conditions, provides incomplete, invalid or misleading information, provides information that is against the law or commits any unlawful act.
5. Participants must be in possession of a valid identification document, be in possession of a passport valid for at least 6 months after the trip and be at least 18 or older. Minors or those not entitled to consume alcohol are explicitly excluded from participation, even if they have permission from their parents/carers. Employees of SFB, its affiliates and/or third parties who (help to) facilitate and/or are involved in the Promotion as well as their immediate family members, are also excluded from participation.
Campaign Period
6. The competition will be open from 24 April 2023 – 11 June 2023 (the “Promotion”).
How To Enter
7. Participation is subject to purchase of any “Bavaria Malt 330ml six-pack (the “Product/s”). Proof of purchase will be required.
7.1 A participant goes into a participating Spar or Tops @ Spar store and purchases the Product/s.
7.2 The participant scans the dedicated Promotion QR code and the system will send a pre-completed message in WhatsApp.
7.3 Note: Entries will be limited to 5 entries per day and a maximum of 20 entries over the campaign period.
7.4 Participants get prompted with the following 6 questions/actions:
7.4.1 First name
7.4.2 Surname
7.4.3 Gender
7.4.4 Date of Birth
7.4.5 Home City
7.4.6 Email Address
7.4.7 Upload a picture of your payment receipt.
7.4.8 Tick-box for agreement to terms & conditions
7.5 Once the WhatsApp questions and picture upload have been completed by the participant, the participant will be informed that their entry will be verified within 24 hours. Once the entry is validated, the participant will be notified within 24 hours.
Prizes
8 Grand Prize
8.1 The participant will receive an email from an SFB representative to verify the prize and arrange for redemption of the Active Prize Voucher.
8.2 The Grand Prize winners will be contacted VIA the email address with which they have entered the campaign with. If we are not able to contact the winner after 3 attempts within 24 hours, a new winner will be selected.
8.3 Grand Prize winners will only be contacted between Monday to Friday 9AM-5PM.
8.4 The prizes are not transferable or changeable.
8.5 The prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.
8.6 The prizes include:
8.6.1 Active Prize Vouchers to a value not exceeding R 10,000 from any of the participating Comrades Sponsors.
8.6.1.1 The Prize vouchers may be made up of vouchers from multiple participating Comrades Sponsors but each respective voucher may not be below R 2,500.00.
8.6.2 The participating Comrades Sponsors are, namely;
8.6.2.1 Mr Price Sport;
8.6.2.2 Hirsch’s;
8.6.2.3 Southern Sun.
8.7 The prize can be redeemed between 16 June & 16 December 2023. Thereafter the prize will no longer be available.

10 Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be enjoyed in another form and/or at a different date.
11 The prize is personal and non-transferable.
12 No right to compensation exists in case of refusal of a prize.
13 “Bavaria” and “Swinkels Family Brewers” are trademarks of SFB. In no event may these trademarks and/or the reputation of SFB and the Bavaria brand be harmed.
14 Participants, prize winners and/or participating third parties take part in the Promotion respectively the prize at their own risk. SFB is not obliged to compensate any damage or loss that directly or indirectly ensues from participation in the Promotion and/or the prize, regardless of how such damage or loss may manifest itself, including damage or loss to hardware, software and/or communication equipment. SFB, its affiliates and/or third parties who (help to) facilitate and/or are involved in the Promotion are not liable for / obliged to compensate any damage or loss resulting from or in connection with the Promotion and/or the prizes made available.
15 All personal details of participants and/or participating third parties (such as names, phone numbers and email addresses) will be treated in accordance with appropriate South African privacy regulations. By participating in the Promotion, the participant has given its permission to SFB to use the details for communication purposes and is entitled to use this information for commercial and/or marketing purposes. Prize winners and/or participating third parties hereby declare to waive any rights of intellectual property, or to demand any payment for that and agree that photo and/or video materials etc. may be used for promotional purposes.
16 This Promotion is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
